Homemade Herb Cheese from Just Two Ingredients

Step-by-step method

Let’s cook

At a glance

You're making a creamy, herb-flavored cheese with just milk and vinegar—the vinegar does all the work by causing the milk to curdle instantly. After straining and seasoning with your favorite herbs, you'll squeeze everything into a ball that's ready to eat in under 35 minutes, giving you a homemade cheese that tastes way better than anything store-bought.

About this recipe

I absolutely love this cheese! It's quick, homemade – so you know exactly what's in it – and incredibly tasty. It's flavoured with whatever herbs you like best. This time I went for a herb salt I brought back from Austria, plus some fresh basil. Texture-wise, it reminds me a lot of ricotta, which I adore :).
