At a glance
You're looking at a stunning summer tart that comes together in under 75 minutes with minimal fuss. The main action involves layering puff pastry, a creamy quark filling, and fresh berries, then letting the oven do the work for 45 minutes. The trickiest part is getting the pastry strips just right for a pretty decorative finish on top.

Prepare the pan
If you have the same pan as mine, from KitchenAid, it has a non-stick surface so there's almost nothing you need to do. I just gave it a light coating of butter β partly for the flavor too.

Line the pan with pastry
Line the pan with the puff pastry. Set aside a piece for decorating the top.

Prick it and brush with jam
Prick the base with a fork and brush it with jam. You can also mix the jam with a splash of alcohol β rum, cherry brandy, port, or something similar works well.
