Chicken Nuggets with Salad

Step-by-step method

Let’s cook

At a glance

You're making crispy beer-battered chicken nuggets that taste even better when you let them marinate for a few hours or overnight—though you can fry them right away if you're in a hurry. The whole process is pretty straightforward: you'll cut the chicken, whip up a simple batter with lager and spices, let everything hang out together, then fry it up and serve alongside fresh salad.

  1. 1/3

Cut the chicken and make the batter

Wash the chicken meat, pat it dry and cut it into smaller pieces. Prepare the batter from all the ingredients. It should have a consistency slightly thicker than pancake batter.

  2. 2/3

    Marinating

Place the chicken pieces into the batter and let them sit for two to three hours, ideally overnight. If you're impatient, you can fry them right away, but they taste better after resting!

  3. 3/3

    Fry and serve with salad

Once fried, place the pieces on a paper towel to soak up any excess fat. Serve with whatever you like — we went with leafy salad, dressing and Parmesan.
