Refreshing Hibiscus Iced Tea with Lime
ยทBrew the tea
Pour filtered water into a pot and add the dried hibiscus flowers. Set the stove to medium-high heat and bring the tea to a gentle boil.
Let it steep
Once the tea starts gently bubbling, boil it for 5 minutes. Then take it off the heat and let it steep so all the delicious flavours can develop.
Strain and sweeten
Strain out the hibiscus flowers and let the tea cool slightly on the counter. Once it's pleasantly warm, stir in the honey and maple syrup, mixing thoroughly until the sweeteners fully dissolve.
Chill completely
Place the tea in the fridge and let it chill completely. Once it's perfectly cold, stir in the lime juice and slice a few extra rounds for garnish.
Serve
Fill a large glass with ice cubes so they take up at least half the glass. Add a few lime slices and some mint leaves. Finally, top up with the chilled hibiscus tea and serve.
