Pork Leg with Mushrooms

·
4 servings
  1. Fry the onion

Peel and finely chop the onion. Fry it in rapeseed oil until golden brown.

  2. Prepare the meat

Add the meat, cut into cubes, and season lightly with salt and pepper. After browning for a while, add the crushed garlic and the cleaned, sliced mushrooms. Season with pepper and caraway seeds, then pour in stock or water.

  3. Cook the meat

Bring to a boil, then add the diced carrot and celeriac. Cook for about an hour, until the meat is tender.

  4. Thicken the sauce

You can thicken the sauce with crumbled bread or, for example, legume flour, or skip thickening altogether. Add the milk and simmer briefly.

  5. Season to taste

Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed, but the mushrooms and meat already give the sauce plenty of flavor, so you won't need much salt.

  6. Serve

Right at the end, you can add some fresh parsley. Serve with rice or pasta.

  7. You're done!

    Enjoy your meal!
