Martha Stewart's Chocolate Chip Cookies

·
30 servings
  1. Melt the chocolate

In a saucepan, melt the butter, then break the chocolate into it. Remove from the heat and let it melt fully, stirring occasionally.

  2. Mix the dry ingredients

In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Make the egg mixture

Beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla with a mixer until light, fluffy, and pale yellow, then mix in the melted chocolate and butter.

  4. Fold in the flour and chocolate

Add the dry ingredients gradually, mixing thoroughly each time so no lumps remain. Once the dough is nice and smooth, fold in the remaining chocolate (a mix of different kinds works great too), roughly chopped into both larger and smaller chunks. Stir to combine.

  5. Shape and bake

Drop mounds of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 12 to 15 minutes.

  6. You're done!
