Baked Indian Squash with Cream

  1. Slice and sauté the squash

    Slice and sauté the squash

    Peel the Indian squash very lightly and cut it into slices about 3 mm thick. Heat a little olive oil in a large pan, add the sliced squash, season with salt and pepper and sauté briefly.

  2. Add the meat and dust with flour

    Add chopped bacon or diced pork in its own juices. Stir well, then dust with a spoonful of plain flour and mix again.

  3. Pour in the cream

    Pour in the cream mixed with mustard. Stir for about five minutes, until the liquid starts to thicken.

  4. Bake in the oven

    Finally, add the chopped herbs, mix well, and transfer the contents of the pan to a baking dish greased with a little butter. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake in an oven preheated to 200 °C for about 15 minutes.
